facilitation
whether working with adults or young people, i love facilitating meaningful experiences that build deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the wider world.
alternatives to violence project
the systems in power isolate and disconnect us from our hearts and each other. forgetting our sacred interconnectedness, violence permeates our communities.
alternatives to violence project guides us in growing healing communities across factors that typically divide (like race, gender, age, ability, religion, etc). we can listen, learn, grow, and heal together. i remain hopeful for what’s possible when we’re committed to each other, building networks of care, and moving through conflict in transformative ways. together, we can create beauty and connection.
as a trained AVP facilitator, i supported the start-up of a teen program in southwest philly. since 2022, i co-facilitate basic, advanced, and trainings for facilitators.
“hannah has such a gentle and powerful presence, a clear and compassionate voice, a sincerity of purpose, love, and conscience.”
“i am grateful to know west philly has such a fierce advocate and generous holder of space. may the blessings you share return to you. thank you for sharing your experience with us and expanding our awareness of what AVP can be.”
“i enjoyed facilitating with you. your energy is a vibe!”
“i appreciate your heart. it is somehow ferocious and tender at the same time. you hold multitudes and invite others to hold theirs, too.”
culture of respect, inc.
the culture of respect, inc. brings together diverse participants to explore seven systems of oppression and their impact individually and collectively. we reflect on our own experiences and deeply listen to the experiences of others.
by growing our empathy and understanding, we step more fully into advocacy action rooted in the needs of folks with oppressed identities.
this course is perfect for folks who are serving communities that are not like them and anyone who wants to deepen relationship skills across identity factors. i co-facilitate homegroups, activities, and affinity group spaces in this 10-week course.
