a little more about me…

hi, i’m hannah mack (they/them). i’m a queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent, white mama, educator, forest witch, and creative who loooooves working with teens and young people. throughout my 15 years of working with youth, i’ve centered personal storytelling and passion-driven research and sought ways to amplify student voices and visions into public spaces. from teen publications to story and art exhibitions to days of listening, i believes in the wisdom of teens and their ability to shape change through self-expression, creation, and collaboration.
desiring to explore expansive possibilities in education, from 2018-2025 I shifted away from public education to build alternative schools in philadelphia and serve as a PA homeschool evaluator. as a founding board member of Philly ALC and co-founder of The Dandelion Project, i know a thing or two about bringing grand ideas into fruition. i’ve also experienced projects not going as planned and failure as a catalyst for transformation. it’s my passion and purpose to support young people in believing in their hearts and growing the skills to actualize their dreams (or at least take the first step). in 2025, i returned to public education to lovingly share what i’ve learned with young people in my west philly neighborhood, while continuing to support unschoolers and alternatives to violence project programs. let’s build something beautiful together.
