hi, i’m hannah mack (they/them)

i’m a queer, neurodivergent mama, educator, forest witch, and creative who loooooves supporting people in expressing themselves heARTfully. throughout my 15 years working with youth and in community, i’ve centered personal storytelling and sought ways to amplify marginalized voices and visions into public spaces. from teen publications, to story and art exhibitions, to facilitating circles and workshops, i feel deeply called to listen to, document, express, and amplify stories.
i believe storytelling has the capacity to connect us across factors that typically divide us. stories change us, our relationships, and our world.
a former secondary english teacher, i couldn’t ignore the disconnection between most classroom learning and the real lives of young people. desiring to explore expansive possibilities in education, from 2018-2025 I shifted away from public ed to build alternative schools in philadelphia. as a founding board member of Philly ALC and co-founder of The Dandelion Project, i’ve learned a thing or two about bringing grand ideas into fruition. i’ve also experienced projects not going as planned and failure as a catalyst for change.
during that time i also worked with local organizations to build out grant programs and grow their reach. i began facilitating with Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP), learning the transformative magic of restorative justice, and with The Culture of Respect, fostering spaces of deep listening and connection across identities. i remain focused on facilitation that emphasizes connection building, with each other and the natural world.
i have big start-up energy (my mars is at 0-degrees aries!), and love supporting new projects getting off the ground. currently, i’m immersed in many projects, some of my own and some that i am supporting. it’s my passion and purpose to support people in believing in their hearts and growing the skills to actualize their dreams (or at least take the first steps). let’s build something beautiful together.
